The CBOT and Hosted Exchange products
launch mock trading plan is now available online. Click

plan.
Please pay close attention to page 6 that includes Market
Data & Product Code Information.
Quote
vendor participation in these critical mock trading sessions is
required to ensure your systems will be ready to support these products after they migrate
to CME Globex.
We are providing ample opportunity to
test, verify, correct and retest, as the window of opportunity is very narrow –
implementation of this huge initiative is only six weeks away!
Mock Trading Session Reporting
Mock Trading Session recaps from quote
vendors should be completed and sent via email to
MDO@cmegroup.com. We ask that you please take a few minutes to
provide us with feedback on the mock trading session.
CBOT ITC 2.1 Ticker Codes
For purposes of mock trading only, quote
vendors should utilize the “old” (pre-merger) CBOT ITC 2.1 ticker codes;
however, when testing in the New Release
environment, the “new” (post-merger) CBOT ITC 2.1 codes should be used. The “new” codes are detailed in the CBOT and Hosted
Exchange Products on CME Globex
Client Impact Document.
Mock Trading Contract Exceptions
Please note that the CBOT ITC 2.1 codes
for the
futures products listed below are different than the CME ITC 2.1 codes.
As a result, the following products will
not be available for any of the mock trading sessions.
These products can be tested in the New Release
environment. The conflicting codes will be changed in production
on their respective migration dates in January 2008.
- Ethanol futures and futures
spreads
- Mini-sized Soybean futures and futures
spreads
- Dow Jones AIG Commodity Index Excess
Return Index futures and futures spreads
- Dow Jones U.W. Real Estate Index futures
and futures spreads
- 30-Year Interest Rate Swap futures and
futures spreads
Additionally, the ITC 2.1
option codes for the futures products referenced above will
not be changing as the products migrate from e-cbot to CME Globex. They will
not be available for any of the mock trading sessions, since the options products reference
the futures as part of the message structure. However, these options and options spread products
are available in the New Release environment for user testing.
